Millcreek, UT – In the early hours of July 25, a fast-moving apartment fire tore through an entire complex, displacing 24 families and leaving behind devastation and heartbreak. Among those affected were Kaylise Old Bull, her husband Tyler, their young daughter Evelyn, and their beloved dog Frodo.

No one was home when the flames broke out — except Frodo. In a split-second decision that likely saved a life, Tyler rushed back to their apartment, kicked down the door, and pulled Frodo to safety just before the fire consumed everything they owned.

Though the Cabello family made it out unharmed, their home and all their possessions were gone in an instant. Clothes, furniture, keepsakes — all lost to the flames. But what remained was their gratitude, and a powerful reminder of what matters most.

The community has since rallied around them, offering donations, prayers, and messages of hope. “We are still in shock,” the family shared in a recent update, “but knowing we’re not going through this alone means so much.”

As they begin the long road to rebuilding, the strength and kindness of the Millcreek community has become their foundation. Every contribution to the family’s GoFundMe Fundraiser, big or small, is helping the Old Bull family move forward — together.
